Have seen it on Trademe but not familiar with the car, is the one originally taking Bitcoin as payment? Have you gone for a look?

Have been a couple days at Autothority, oil & filters ended up including cv boots, clutch bleed & sundries. Any of you know somewhere in S.I. that does alignment on 993? - Autothority doesn't. Don't need it, just curious for future ref. Anybody have a kinematic clutch lever (993-423-519-03)? From reading, I'm not sure how permanently fixed the occasional hanging pedal is.
Cheers - David

Was wrapped in Grey Reg No Schiss now EQU33 11 owners inclusive of 5 being LMVD. So 6 previous private.
Wheels were painted black, refinished by Hammonds removing the wrap removed paintwork so substantial rectification required.
Nice blue but the rectification required has put me off more than just a bit.
Too precious? Maybe not reflected in asking price dunno
Thoughts?

Hey does anyone have any info regarding the RED GT3 sitting at O'Rileys Garage in Wellington, REGO [JB 9II]. Past ownership says it's been between Auckland and Christchurch and has been owned by Quin Construction?
From the grapevine I wanted to know if this was the Quin Construction race car and whether this was the one that was biffed/crashed?
Any help is much appreciated
Cheers

John Billington QC has owned this car for a few years. Seemed solid on the track days he ran it. Sorry don’t know any more than that.

I was told a few years back when a red 996 GT3 was for sale by a dealership that a red 996 GT3 had had a very major incident that involved the roof plus other parts/ends. I don’t know if it was/is this car but there can’t be that many NZ new red 996 GT3’s about.

Hello everyone. I posted almost a 1.5-2 yrs ago about importing my LHD 997.2 RS and the time has finally come. I plan to try and bring the vehicle into NZ by mid to end of 2019.

Can anyone here recommend an entry certification center in NZ. I was told by an importer in NZ which I am dealing with that I would need to apply for a LHD permit. Since I cannot bring the vehicle in under the SIVS scheme I would need to prove the car is a collector car in LHD form. I'm "assuming" this should be easy, but we shall see. I posted a link on the 997.2 RS forums which can be seen here: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...ector-car.html

Lastly, has anyone on here imported a LHD vehicle into NZ? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi, no knowledge, can't help, but it can't be too difficult judging by the 1000's of left-hooker Mustangs on our roads.

Sounds like it would be easy, but the #Merica cars are coming in under a different scheme. These are allowed in since they were never offered in NZ. My car can only come in if I can prove it's either a classic car or collector car in LHD format. Should be easy, but NZTA is basically saying they will do the research and make a decision on a one-to-one basis. I guess they have the right to say no if they feel like it whether or not I can prove things on my end..

I will apply for the permit and see. They will charge $184-600 depending on the amount of time they have to spend to verify.. Bizarre... but okay.

I don't think it will be a problem - there are plenty of LHD 911's bought in from Japan (and then sold on Trademe). Given the limited number of RS's you should have no problem convincing them. If it was me I would do some research on build numbers and perhaps sales volumes in NZ beforehand. In the end the person doing the work is likely to be an underpaid admin - the less they have to do themselves the more likely they are to tick boxes and get back to posting on Facebook...
