Yea, I was.. got very late on braking as no tyre wobble, and got on the power a bit quick. First time I've driven just on tipo, usually run as a manual and found if I did not have enuff pedal early, it changed to third which gave no pull thru, so was keeping the power on.
We had Kayne Scott there, who was pedalling his Dads 997TT ..he was great to follow.. big nuts tho!
I don't know if the PSM was working as no judder, wobbles or otherwise, just a quick handful of opposite with power on and it straightened in time to set up for 3
Missed Paul tho, no diving in the corners, no undertaking into T1, no oil on the screen....

What conclusion was reached for fueling on the Cape run? 98 in Auckland and on the way back in Whangarei, and a 95 fill in Kaitaia? Really wanted to join you guys for it, but can't get away from Auckland tonight.

Jake, I think that's it. We are all driving older cars so 95 is not an issue. Maybe join us on the way back at waipu on Sunday. 6 others are doing that.

Would be there in a heart beat, but will have my rev limiter with me; I've been away for 7 weeks and have promised my other half I'd spend some quality time this weekend.
May actually end up in the Hokianga ironically, but if I kept up with the group she would probably pull a Mende and give the inside of the car a 'fresh' coat of paint...
Just seen on Lorne St. Looks to be a well loved, well driven car. Would be my colour of choice. Stunning.

Just make sure she doesn't eat anything too acidic, big mistake as I found out. Does not help.

One down three to go. Pel's 964 bottomed out on a bump on SH16 peeling a little off his front left tyre. Decided not to risk going further so is heading home quietly on SH1
