Agreed. Merc Factory tour was also the best I've ever done. They have a "sky rail" train which takes you over the top of the full production line. Very cool.

Yes I know Christian from OCD. Nice chap. I've recommended tonnes of folks to him and he looks after my cars.

Have just been in contact with bro-in-law in Munich, the spare rib restaurant is closed. Pity, was really good.

Posting a lot more on FB.

We were in Munich, but missed that. Next time. Today we leave Stuttgart for Strasbourg, then up to the Ring tomorrow.

I've just arrived back in NZ after a stint around Europe. Had a week of solid of going to all the musuems in Germany then the ring too. If you're in Stuttgart try and get to Motorworld (http://www.motorworld.de/en/home/portfolio/). It has loads of different dealers and merch stores plus a massive storage facility that makes the place look like life size Matchbox cars

That's seriously cool Luke. Now on the list for my next visit! I even spy a 991 GT3 + RS + 993 cab tucked away in there...

Bit more of a trek but Auto Salon Singen near Munich was the best dealership I've ever seen (http://www.auto-salon-singen.de/en). When I was there they had everything from a green 'Yellowbird', 964 RSR to 918's, 3 CGT's and a 959. Plus all the new hypercars.

So many options and so little time. I'll just have to note those for next time, of which there will definitely be one.

Today we are off to the Ring. Ring taxi first up then maybe scoot across to the Blaincpain GT series 3hr race which is on the GP track. Monday may see a trip across to Spa, and an outside possibility of visiting Lakewell who supplied the interior for the Project car.

Wish I was back at the Ring!! You'll have an absolute blast. I did a Ring Taxi in a 991 GT3 (they had a 991 GT3 RS there too). Then had a Suzuki Swift for the day. Hilarious fun!

Nice work. Bucket list ticking alright. Who did you rent the Swift from? Was this an organised track day or a tourist afternoon?

Very lucky to tick a bunch of stuff off the list. We just went to a tourist day- it was a Sunday and so was super busy. Had a great range of different cars to look at though. There were four heavy crashes while we were there so it took us all day to get our six laps in.
After a few suggestions from this board we got the car from Rent Race Car. The car was well prepared and they were really easy to deal with.
