Steve says 235kmph reserve of 997.2 Cup cars full attack with correct gearing.
From hampton downs site=
The first record was 1:02.279 held by a Lola T430 Formula 5000, driven by Kenny Smith. This record was made at the NZ Festival of Motor Racing celebrating Bruce McLaren on the 23rd January 2010. Smith's highest speed was 257.30 kmh and he completed the 8 lap race in only 9:55.174
To do 230kmph in a 996 GT3 may take some very handy wheelmanship given the Lola have over 500 bhp, 665 kg and professional driver? Thats splitting the difference between a well driven 964 cup car and the Lola...

I think the issue is that the club is so big that there are loads of potential attendees. I was slow getting my response back but still made it onto the list (last time I checked). Think I did mine a few days after the notices came out - and certainly would have had no favours. I think with PCNZ events you just have to get used to making quick decisions for the popular events.

Saw my car very briefly this morning. No time for a good look but did confirm that the planetary gear is repaired. Also dropped off my spare CAT and primary muffler. I want to do a lot of runs to run it in and dont want to make a pest of myself in the Neighbourhood so a normal exhaust will help.
Dave you are welcome to run with my bypass for a couple of months but I need it back by the North Island run. I'm not selling it but it will give you an idea of the noise before you commit to buy one yourself.

The oil system is all done. The two big lines to the cooler have been replaced. The radiator cleaned and everything flushed. A couple of small lines were replaced as well. Dean reported a lot of gunk in the system. Nothing to do with tissue paper.
Aside from that it should be just a refit of parts now. Say two weeks? I'm not sure. Dean wasn't offering a date and let's face it, the parking is full so they're not short of urgent work.

Looks like there are plenty of sprints/gymkhanas coming up in July/August.
