Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?
BB Update time:
Ralf bought new front rotors ($91.89) and a new set of front EBC Yellow Pads (198.54), then went out to HD to give them to Jono (previous owner) to fit for the princely sum of $60.
It turns out that in our excitement to post blistering lap times we omitted to look at the front pads. They were smoking after my shortened run because the front pad material was completely gone.....
Use of a few big tools and some swearing (Jono is a master at that) got the job done and BB is ready for the 16th. Thanks Ralf for organising that. I understand that Ralf, Matt G, Neil and perhaps Chris B will line up to set some times. That's a full dance card.
Meanwhile Walter is looking at putting BB out there on the 23rd. I think he's looking for some partners in crime.
Financially, we have taken in $3,000 and spent $3,037.43. It looks like pads are going to be our biggest expendables unless you lot take it easy, but where's the fun in that?
Right now I don't see the need to change anything in our operation except for drivers to take ownership of the car fluid and pads position. I will look at a checklist for that.
I look forward to seeing three more BB times on the leaderboard. That will leave Jason and Tony yet to tame Black Beauty.

I think Jason is off overseas for 2 months so that leaves the way open for one or two others to run some more sessions on the day. At this rate I will be truly on the bottom of the board for a while but the house repaint is a bigger priority than a day at HD.
Tony is your AIM working? You could be timekeeper on the day. I can lend mine to Walter as a backup.

I'll be keen to do that date. Based on last year we had a bit of a lull after the NITT. However there are a few people not going and a few new members. I'll send out an e-mail and see if we can get interest in an RSG Group and then if we can I'll go negotiate with Gary & Tony.

^^^ Its a good one alight. NZ new with very low KM and factory optioned sports seats (rare). IUts at a dealer so they will take a cash offer - Id say they'll let it go for $125K which by my reckoning is bang on the money. Probably would need a little grooming and small stuff but assuming its otherwise strong this is a good car, good providence at face value for fair money...

Here's a road about 30 minutes from where I live that we've always gone for a spirited drive on. There's not much leeway for error and this nutter does it on a skateboard!
Great Tony, you're in. Early weather signs are good for the 23rd (see Friday 22nd below). Knowing that you'll be coming too, I'm inclined to book in soon to make sure BB gets a spot. With only one run session an hour (4 groups running), it's probably best kept to a couple of drivers running at a time, but could easily be split it into a morning and afternoon card with a couple on each, especially if it helps fill the leaderboard. Just a share of the $130 entry plus of the petrol used.
