Bloody traffic, grrr 1:29.4. Dave has 0.9 on me
Passed cars on the outside of turns 3 and 10, one dive pass and one coming out of barrel 51

Good fun passing but not great for times.caught up to a slow bunch of 5-6 cars You need guts to get through turn 1 fast but not wanting to give any secrets away.

Default BB Inaugural Track Day Photos

Dave giving BB her introduction to RSG at HD. This run was gentle. The next one he gave it death.

Topics of discussion and lessons learned between runs today included:
Tyres - we reckon the road tyres won't last long at this rate. We'll need to rotate them to give the front left a rest. Talk of some track tyres getting much better life (from me).
Key - WARNING leaving the key in the car with the windows up automatically locks them in there. Now we didn't do this because the previous owner warned us and showed the damage from breaking in. So, always leave the window down or remove the key
Key - several times we jumped in, strapped on the harness only to remember the key was in our suit pocket requiring removing the harness to squirm and get them out.
Door - great laughter when I strapped myself in then couldn't reach the door to close it.
Key - there is only one
Key - it falls out when you turn the ignition off
Sunroof - it works but doesn't quite close properly. It's not leaking though
Engine - runs very sweet. Free revving. No hint of complaining at being driven foot to the floor for ages.
Rev limiter - only hit it once staying in 3rd on the straight after barrel 51 and not wanting to change up at the 200 m mark.
Cornering - aim it and give it stick. The front wheel drive really pulls it around well. You can corner faster than you think it will handle.
Turn 1 best technique - not telling.
Brake point for turn 1 - later than you think. Have faith.
Overtaking - outside on corners works well :-P. On the straight she struggles to have enough power so you need to accelerate up to the car in front as it goes into the corner, corner quicker and take them on the way out. Or dive.

Went better today than we could have hoped. In only two sessions, Dave and Doug were on 2k Cup pace. Smiles from ear to ear.

Terry Riding has offered to take us for competition licences if we shout him a coffee, and I think that makes a lot of sense if we have aspirations of racing in the near future.

First up however is to get more of you co-owners out for a session or two to get your eye in. In fact you really do need two sessions e.g. Dave did 1.32 in the first session and 1.28.50 in his second one. I look forward to seeing if anyone can best Dave's time on 19/7.

Jut to add to Doug's points. The Neksgen was great when using the harness. I'd be interested to know if we can fit more anchor points to RSG helmets and share the actual Neksgen devices around when driving BB.

Great feedback guys.

I don't think time will allow more than 1 session per person on the 19th John so Daves time will be safe. Leader-board needs to show best time first session so everyone is one even ground. Most of us have never seen the car set let alone sat in it or had drive time around the block...
