Default PCA Club Race at New Pitt Race Circuit - "Das Bürghring"

PCA Club Racing is returning to Pittsburgh!
Whether you’re an old pro or a newly minted racer, a visit to the hills of western Pennsylvania should be on your fall agenda.

The Dates:
Join us at the Pittsburgh International Race Circuit for the Steel Cities Championships at "Das Bürghring" from October 13 – 15, 2017.
'On tap' will be the 944 Cup Nationals East Championships and we have one of this year's four PCA Vintage events.
All PCA Club Racing Classes welcome!
There will be a full day of testing on Thursday October 12th. This will be open to all registered racers and street cars with drivers who qualify for ARPCA's Advanced Solo status. Register now!

The Circuit:
If you’ve been here before 2015, you don’t know this track ! Pitt Race has been completely refurbished.
The South Track expansion was added in 2015 and the North track was completely re-profiled this spring. No more bumps! Curbing has been moved / added and just recently the entire track has been repaved. Together, the new circuit is a 19-turn, 2.8 mile course with 128′ of dynamic elevation changes following the natural terrain. It’s fantastic!

The improvements have not ended there. In addition to the expanded paddock, event center, on premises showers and garages, Pitt Race is currently building a 6000 sq/ft. Timing Tower which will include meeting rooms, T&S, and Race Control areas. Timing loops have been installed at multiple locations including Pit In and Pit Out.

Heading to Daytona? The ARPCA has arranged for Club Race competitors to leave their rigs here before heading to Daytona free of charge!.

Looking forward to it!

Any idea if camping will be allowed at the track?

They should change the name of it to the Pittsburgring. I was there in May. The track is fun. And if you bring kids, the kart track is one of the best out there. Hope to be able to run the race there.

^it was the old Beaverun but only the North track. Since then the South track was added and both have been repaved. You will not recognize the place. It is now a premiere facility.

Agreed! "Der Pittburgring" would have been much better.

Haa haa I agree with you! Don't get me started ... was a big internal debate.
Aber ich habe diesen Kampf verloren!

So the compromise was that the "das" referred to the 'championship' not the 'track'.
Kind of OK in that case.

Hmmmm,

well Championship = Meisterschaft - right?
Well it's Die Meisterschaft, not Das Meisterschaft
As know know "Am Ende einer Meisterschaft, weiss man wer am Meisten schafft" ;-)

You should have told them that "Das" is the neutral form while "Der" (which would have been the correct form" is Male.
So they basically castrated "Der Burgring" to "Das Burgring" ;-)
