Not sure how he made it out. SFI 38.1 head and neck restraint required in all the vintage stuff I run except VSCCA (old cars), even Monterey...

Disturbing. No surprise in the end. I was watching his other entries into 10A before the spin and thinking "those brakes suck. The car is not stable and I don't want to be in that car".

The car was really skittish through every turn. Was he trying to rotate the car in some inventive way, just having fun or was he running different tires in the front? Yipes!

Well, the Corvette was certainly faster in a straight line! I do not know the 911s or their drivers enough to compare, or to call this video "proof positive" that hp always wins. Peter Gregg and others won championships in the 1970s in 911 RSRs competing against Corvettes and other cars very similar to the ones in this video.

wide angle distorts the view but every once in a while you see a shot of the posts and they have something attached to them.

At the end you see the strap that is from a HANS sliding tether system. The orange 'V' is the giveaway.

Did you also notice just before 1:30 in the video where he caught up to the Porsche even faster in the braking zone, easily stayed with it through the turn as well.

Corvette was being hustled

I thought that was pretty ballsy and skilled driving. Presumably bias ply tires on a rather unforgiving platform.

Maybe a good compadre for Clarke. You know, left hand, right hand, brother from another mother.
