Why is this particular class so popular?

When well set up, those e class 911s are extremely rewarding to drive - good speed, planted, and all mechanical inputs with visceral feedback from the car.

the competition is fierce and clean.

The cars are pretty, give you the idea that you are driving a RS or RSR of the 70s - kind of (never drove those)

last, it's not a spec class. You get to make choices (within the rules envelope) on what you do to the car, getting an edge not only by driving but also with those choices (e.g. Wheel sizes, shock types, etc...). It adds to the fun.

nothing other than E for me and I pray that the competition in 2018 will be as plentiful.

Because its the cheapest way to race a real Porsche (911 rear engine).

And, yes, I know, D almost same thing. Whatever.

All the video from the front runners should be put together in a small video. It would be epic!

It's a shame that D Class died out in the Northeast, with D and E running together it was quite the hoot running in the pointy end.. Considering the number of SC's out there I never quite understood why D didn't blow up! Greatly miss my D car...

I'm thinking E and SPB only group - split start!

I wish I could be there with you guys. Really missing the drive in my 73 911S E-car. I'm pulling for the Texas crowd!! Jim, Pat and Jeff were kind enough to ask me if I wanted to come..... DAMN WORK keeps getting in the way of everything!!!

Race fast and safe guys. Definitely want to see the videos!!
