I once stayed at the Golden Shower (aka Golden Knight) Hotel up the West side of the lake. The toilet was right next to the bed which was convenient because I was beyond hammered.

The Falls if it is available. Nothing fancy, just a clean convient place.

Harbor hotel is good when the wife is with you.

Seneca Lodge is good for track days with buddies, hanging at the bar and a good night's sleep.

I love the place. My girlfriend does too. In fact, she wants to get married there.
(to me)

If you don't stay there. At least visit the bar once. More than 50 years of racing history.

I brought my family to Watkins glen at stayed at the Seneca lodge for the full rustic experience.. they are accustomed to high end hotels like the four seasons etc.. when my daughter saw the room she fracked and said you're joking, you can't expect me to stay here.. my wife also commiserated with her and basically said no dice honey.

That was over eight years ago and they haven't been back nor will they.. I love the Seneca lodge and happy they'll never pester me again to come back..

The Harbor inn is the generic wife acceptable option in WG.

Wow, shocked to hear so much hate towards Seneca Lodge.
You guys talk like it's a 3rd world toilet.
It was a perfectly clean & basic motel that is minutes from the track.
If your wife and/or kids can't deal with that, you've got much bigger problems in life.
