On a 996, with the mufflers removed, it'd seem handy to use the original muffler support brackets to mount an oil tank right where those large stock mufflers live. Shucks, someone handy enough could probably even cut open a stock muffler, hollow it out, add a foaming baffle, fittings, seal it up, and turn it into an oil tank that fits right in the original spot!
