You need to grease the bearings and grease buddies are not the same as changing the grease. The bearings in the rear can't get grease via buddy. Mine had no working brakes because the insane rust had seized the inner workings of the drums and the rear bearings were essentially fragments on two of the wheels. This applies to any trailer, no matter how fancy. If you put a lot of miles on the trailer then perform maintenance more often, there is no easy way out for the lazy. Mine was in such bad shape I would question buying anything from the person again.

All steel/iron metal bits will get surface rust, not a problem
- its when the rust hinders the mechanical workings you have to worry about.
