Have the p200d with crew and cm300d in the cars (it's an installed head unit) with the shark fin type antennas on the car as well, it significantly increases range and quality of the connection as it allows more wattage for the transmissions.

Works flawlessly from the car to the paddock at every track we go to including Cota, VIR, road atlanta, mosport etc. Used to use just the portable p200d units in pit and in car but it's just not powerful enough to work around a track like VIR or COTA. For example at VIR, you'd have comms from roller coaster through t5 then nothing if using the p200d in car and in pit.

The fixed head unit and antenna was a massive step up and its crystal clear comms all the time now to the crew using p200d units.

Recommend the guys at racing radios, they were great to work with and the solution was easy to install.

Thanks guys! I was hoping for a portable solution, but I don't want to sacrifice distance. It seems the cm300d units in every vehicle and one p200d for crew will get the job done best.

All you will ever need. Also they have Stilo Helmet adapters cheaper than anywhere else.

I'm concerned about really long tracks like COTA or similar. Any experience there?

If your pit crew is in the garages you will not have coverage around the track at COTA. It really depends on what you need to use the radio for. At the PCA Club Race last weekend, we had to communicate by phone with the Safety Car during the outlap.
