Default PCA Golden Gate Region Club Race.

Golden Gate Region is a great club. They put on a very well run event at Thunderhill which I cant say enough good things about. I am grateful to get my start in Club Racing with this region.
I would like to pass it forward and incourage any of the many people that I see running with their DE program how easy it is to take driving to the next level and make the move to club race.

Spec Boxter is the car of choice with this group. I made my start with the 944.
I really like the 944. We are building a Spec Boxter now. After spending time building the car I still like the 944 better. Maybe its the limited slip? What do I know?. I do know how well it handles and also how cheap the operating costs are.
I also noticed at the Sebring Club Race the SP3 cars seem to be on the rise and a great car as well.

You should come down to Buttonwillow March 11-12 and join us. We always have a large turnout there of Spec Boxster's.....

We'll be at Thunderhill this year- never been before.
Looks like a pretty fun track.

It's unfortunate that it is the same weekend as NASA/PRC at Sears Point.

GGR/PCA is my home club and by far and away my favorite org to drive with - be it a DE or club racing. Super nice, friendly folks. They actually enforce the rules (sorely lacking in most other outfits), but in a good way. And it's chock full of Porsche's! Come out and join us!

Certainly is.
Especially since I was planning to steal Woods' semi driver for the weekend!
With smaller fields out West it would be nice to have some cooperation between the clubs. Since our cars are built to PCA specs, we tend to race with them. Looks like they have added a full Laguna Seca weekend and also at Sear's Point.
Hope to see you this year Tom!

Only so many weekends - noticed most spec 911 guys go PRC, SPB is all PCA and almost every race has sufficient field size to win maximum Toyo dollars

And you can look forward to 35 mph lunch runs mandated by a Cayenne driver with a Poodle on his lap.

You can't make this up.

Paul: Was sad to see you and Kim registered for PCA when I'm registered for NASA. We'll see who signs up for the race at Sears Point. If the other GTL drivers don't sign-up, I'll bail and head to Thunderhill (easy to do with NASA's cancellation policy).

I'll miss the PCA Laguna Race and Sears Point races as Stephanie and I will be in Italy. Any chance you two will do Road America this year? It looks like we could have up to 8 folk heading out this year (I'll be one of them).

Kim's still doing the horse thing- National Championship show every Labor Day weekend. I guess that I could try to get my car out there...I love that Rd America event.

We'll look forward to racing with you this season.

Paul - it'll be good to see you and Kim at Thunderhill. Couldn't agree more - it's unfortunate that all the west coast Porsche racing clubs can't get along. Think how much fun it would be to combine groups and run 200+ car race fields!

I believe its more the tracks and what existing dates are being renewed, than the clubs not wanting to work together.
