Default Attention Peter Krause

Hi Peter,

I really enjoyed listening to you in the "Speed Secrets" podcast with Ross Bentley. Picked up a few very great pearls of wisdom there.

Good stuff!

Thank you! It's always fun to work and speak with Ross!

We come at the challenge of going faster in a complementary way.

What did you find particularly useful, so I can do that more?

I am currently trying to learn a new track, what stuck with me there, that if someone asks me "what is turn 6" i need to be able to answer like "the righthander with the off camber apex"
The other thing which stuck with me was to look for your markers not "one dimensional" (on the tarmac) but 3-dimensional: visual everywhere and even audible marks
And of course walking the track, but the track I am currently trying to memorize is the Nordschleife, and walking the track is not an option there ;-)

Actually you can. There are a few events each year where you can run or bike the ring. Nice leisurely 12.9 mile jog.

That's a good video. The driver looked very relaxed as he cut through the field. Great drive.

Thanks Peter,

The video is amazing, so sad that Sean Edwards died so young.
He makes a few passes which are incredible (the one in lap one in Wippermann on the green car, and in lap two in Kallenhard on the black Porsche), and it's not more HP, it's just pure skill. Makes you very humble watching that.
Guide ordered
The link is good, but the site is a bit outdated, but I have the advantage that German is my native language, so I can tap into all the German Nordschleife web-sites as well :-)

Just saw this one: http://www.nuerburgring.de/en/events...ongmanrun.html

With 13,000 runners I'm sure you could take your time and jot down some good track notes.
