Default Allegheny Region Club Race

As a past President of Allegheny Region and a National Sponsor of PCA Club Racing I am pleased to see that Allegheny Region has a
Club Race scheduled at Pitt Race Oct 13-15. While up in Pittsburgh last November I stopped by the old Beaver Run to see the improvements.
Wow although I had been told that they had put in several million to enlarge and improve the facility, I was blown away. A very nice facility.

For those who have not been there or perhaps only the old Beaverun, here is a link with great info about the place, videos, etc...

http://arpcaclubrace.com/Track-Information.html

Pitt Race is now a premiere facility, all remnants of the old place are long gone.

Is this the same racetrack that was once known as the Speedway at Nazareth?

Looks like a fun course with some interesting elevation changes.

The water tower must be a reference for every corner!

Nazareth is a sad story. It's been sitting abandoned for over a decade. I go by there once in a while and it still looks basically the same as it did when I watched races there as a kid.

Agreed - it'll never serve as a race track again. It's changed hands several times since ISC sold it, and I'm sure it'll wind up being either a shopping center or a residential development. I grew up in Nazareth and have many fond memories of going to the races as a kid. And I could hear the Penske cars testing from my house

Pittsburgh International Race Complex will also be the site of the 944 Cup Nationals/East for 2017, as part of the PCA club race event for SP1, 2 and 3.

http://44cup.com/nationals-17

During that weekend, the 944 Cup will also host its Annual Awards banquets, including a prize giveaway that will have every SP944 driver taking home a prize:

The 944 Cup first visited this location, then known as Beaverun, in 2006 as shown in the picture. It was an exciting weekend then, and with this new facility we are expecting even better now.
