Default Racecar Insurance

We have started WRL endurance racing and I have been looking for insurance both for the racecar itself and liability insurance for myself as the car owner. Do any of you guys have insurance or recommend a company to work with? This is W2W racing so HPDE insurance will not work. I have found a few STP (storage, transport, paddock) insurers, but no true on track insurers.
Thanks

Let us know if you find it different, but the quotes I've received for endurance racing are prohibitively expensive.

Will do. I've reached out and waiting on quotes.

Heacock insures you car while racing? I only see Storage, Transport, and Paddock insurance offered here - https://www.heacockclassic.com/colle...ars/race-cars/

Well, you guys were right. The off-track insurance isn't bad, but the on-track insurance is crazy expensive. I had them quote me for 8 races at 9 hours each and 1 24 hour race. The premium for a $50000 racecar with an 8% deductible for those races was $32,500. More than I can pay up front for insurance. I'm sure if I totaled the car twice, it would make sense, but that's what it would take for me to get ahead. I appreciate all of the resources, but I will go ahead with a standard STP policy.

On a separate note, I also learned that Lockton does have a specific on-track policy specifically and only for PCA club racing. Since this is not PCA racing, I did not get a quote, but it's out there for you guys that might be interested.

It is too expensive. At club racing level, if you need race car insurance, you have to re-think participation.

I only looked bc of endurance racing and having 4-5 different drivers all the time. Worried about a driver wadding it up and not "honoring" contract. If it was just me driving my car (which I've been doing for several years) no on-track insurance needed. But with multiple drivers, thought it might be handy if not too expensive. Well, too expensive.

I have a club race policy with unlimited events annually includung DE, track days, and races.

I am limited to 90 minutes per race. Anything over 90 gets crazy expensive. Mine is not that expensive and I think a good value. It's the long races that mess up the policies.

Sorry it didn't work out.

Thanks for the referral! I am still getting my STP policy from him and he is still working on a liability policy for the race team. We will see how that works out.
