I'm also disappointed but not surprised. Very few of us race Porsche Factory built race cars. I don't think the company has much interest in our covered street cars and they are probably looking at us as more of a liability than an opportunity.

Some PCA Regions give out really nice prizes. For same other races, racers themselves have actually donated metals, etc...

I don't know about us being a liability to the brand. Whenever I roll into a gas station or parking lot in my Martini liveried 944 I get a whole bunch of people talking. This car is a cheap Porsche, almost 30 years old, and people love it. I brought my Cayman to a local HS charity car show and won best import. More importantly I beat out all the big block American cars in terms of noise with my race exhaust when we all "made some noise"! That has to be great advertising for the company.
Plus, most racers own at least one road going Porsche. Jeez, give us some respect is what I am always thinking.
