Default Track wheels - too many to choose from??

I just bought a 2006 Cayman S race car to use for track events and need to get a spare set of wheels. It appears forged wheels are more reliable in track service with added loads. Wow, numerous vendors and models to choose from: Race Tech, BBS, OZ, Forgeline, CCW, etc. Which wheel and model number offer the best value for track wheel - 18" black preferred? I also want to know what to look for with all these ads for used wheels.

Also, am confused about proper sizing. From my research, it appears stock Cayman S specified:
Front: 18x8 et57 (also saw 18x8.5 et53)
on 235/40-18 tires (my new car has 245/40-18)
Rear: 18x9 et43 (also saw 18x10 et40)
on 265/40-18 tires (my new car has 275/35-18)

Thus, what is preferred wheel and tire size for 100% track work and offering widest range of appropriate slick tires?
Thanks

For DEs I would bet the most popular choice for Caymans is Nitto NT01 in 245/40/18 and 275/40/18 on OZ Allleggerita 18x8.5 ET53 and 18x10 ET 40. Not a forged wheel but strong and durable. See a lot of them at DEs.

Agree with sedat on sizing but do look at CCW wheels. Strength is incredible and not too heavy either. OZ are also good but you will see more CCWs though

The car has CCW C14 wheels right now, may just get another set of the same.

most cost effective and best wheel for the cayman is the 3 piece BBS.

Bend an inner or an outer, 200 bucks max. Bend a 1 piece wheel, well that is 450 or more depending on the wheel choice

If I you have the choice then going with the same wheels you have let's you mix and match used tires without having to remount them. Less a consideration if the second set is for rain tires.

OZ is a good choice price/quality wise. Can't go wrong with those. Plenty of people use them.
