Default RLC Micro Pod logger - support?

Hi guys,

recently bought a track car with RLC Micro Pod logger, unfortunately I cant seem to find any software or maps or any kind of support for it.

Did the company close down? Is there anybody still using it?

Any suggestions? Or maybe I should get something more up to date? What do you recommend?

Thanks,
Miki

Nope, gone. Closed some time ago.

If you are using it just for speed, g's, lap timing and analysis, I recommend the AiM Solo at less than $400, plenty of vendors here (me, Matt Romanowski or Jerry Austin among them) that can help.

If you have sensors, PM me.

Stick it on eBay. A fair number trade for parts. Always worth more as a complete setup.

If it's working, use it. Using the Wayback Machine, you may be able to find instructions. I'll look around and see if I have a copy of the software on an old computer. I'll send a PM if I find it. All these systems measure the same things and with roughly the same accuracy, so if it's working, hold on to it.

If you can't get it to work, get the software or get good info out of it, by all means, investigate the newer replacements. The tech has improved by making this equipment easier to use now than when RLC was in it's heyday.

Make sure your antivirus is on (don't know anything about this site) but the manual is here: http://manualzz.com/doc/6875529/dash...micro-pod-lite

I would say to replace it, even it if works. You are building a history of your performance (good and bad), car health, and more. Do all of that with a system that is supported and you will be able to reference well into the future.

If it works, or even if it doesn't, put it up on Ebay and use that money to fund the new system.

Also, what Megasquirt do you have? Some of the older systems really don't put out anything for a logger (at least AiM) to use.

Default RLC long gone....thank God!

Their support history was miserable..I had a multi thousand dollar system from them, lived about 10 miles from the plant, couldn't get them time of day from them. Their business was replaced by a Tuff Shed Store. Good riddance.

I sold my RLC for about $0.10 on the dollar and was glad to get that. A few months later they went "**** up".

Peter, Matt or other AiM dealers will hook you up. I went with an AiM MXL-2 System, excellent product with dealer and factory support available.
DEALERS. AiM Sports sells through dealers who offer personalized service, installation, and track side support. AiM Sports dealers are experts in racing data acquisition. To learn more about buying an AiM Sports system, please contact your local AiM Sports dealer (Read Peter or Matt)
