First time all year I did not select the Hamsandwich to win. Not only does the Brit have to start at the back of the grid in Spa, but the Red Bulls looked good in P2.

On paper it's Rosberg's to lose, but a wet race brings the race back to Hamilton to say nothing of a safety car period if there is an incident in T1 at the start of the race.
I'm just looking forward to some amazing passing at this great track and Monza as well. IMO, Spa should host every 5th race on the F1 calendar!

Should be fun to watch Hamilton in last place(30 spot penalty) and Alonso (35 spot penalty) in laster place go through the field. Hope they have similar strategy pits wise so they are near each other for a big chunk of the race.

Turns out Hamilton is intent on taking a 45 grid spot penalty to secure (at least for now) lastest laster place; putting three new power units in service in each of the FP sessions hoping those and the one he was running before the break will get him through the rest of the season.

Wow... no one noticed when a back marker did it. It's a different story when a team that's so dominant does it.
If I was an engine builder, and they did not close this loophole, I'd build 1-3 race high strung engines and just take my hit in 1 or 2 races in a season. It's a moot point for this year but with the new formula next year, they have to close this up

Lewis and Toto Wolfe for placing the FiA's rule book squarely up the FiA's behind and find a work around for the insipid rules. Lewis now has enough motors to finish the season.

Geez, I almost forgot, is F1 still racing? Oops, it was only the Euro summer vacation. No they haven't folded yet. Maybe in a few more years. I was distracted watching the Whelen Modified series on TV-a much more entertaining race series to follow nowadays.....

I'm in for Kimi, for the sake of sheer fandom. How did Max manage to vault himself up to second, anyway? I could see him jumping Nico at the start. If that happens, Nico may lose more places until DRS is enabled, and it could be genuinely interesting.

Tyre strategy will be interesting.
