I've been to several of the LuckDogs and they are a blast with LOADS of track time. I'm also in Portland but still trailer down for 6-8 weekends a year including Aug 28th weekend at Sonoma.

I had a fun race in Portland at the ICSCC Dash for Kids this weekend. We had a respectable 8 cars in the ST class and the race had a crazy finish where we went 3 wide at the finish line. I managed to go from first to third, but oh well it was a blast.
Schwank you need to get that boxster finished!

It is a 968 with an LS1 V-8, running an air restrictor to get 305 rwhp for this class.

Yes I do Eric! Motor is getting finished up, and the car is on the ground as a roller, so we're getting close. ECU is going to be the biggest issue remaining, but I should be up and running for 2017.

What times did you run at ORP? Eric's 968 is classed in both SPM and ST (different run groups) and it looks like he was running mid 1:50's at the Sept race there.

You can get rules online at icscc.ctom. By my reading the spec boxster would be SPM (super production 2-4 L) or ST (Weight >=HP * (10 +/- adjustments)) What times did you run at ORP? With some laps under my belt and new rubber that time sounds right.

I think we touched on that earlier in this thread and Jim covered it. A spec boxster will not be great fit in the existing classes. You could race it anyways knowing it wont be the car to beat, and possibly try to raise interest in the class. ICSCC will add a class if a group of racers are committed to making it happen. Or you could drop the spec part and modify the car.

I didn't break 2:00 however this was my first time at ORP. I was on old rubber and it had rained, so no rubber laid on track. 4-5 laps into weekend my engine let go.
