Top Gear Flop
Chris Evans has resigned as host after just five episodes of the rebooted BBC series "Top Gear." "Gave it my best shot but sometimes that's not enough," he said. He reportedly butted heads with American actor and co-host Matt LeBlanc of "Friends."

I'm sure this is heresy, but TG has been dead for several years. The show was a car show with some humor in it. Then it became a comedy show with some cars in it. Then the humor became completely predictable. Race from here to there driving this and that, car vs jet, trash can vs car, ... You're going to have a difficult time finding a team with chemistry as good as the original, and even if you do, the show needs an overhaul.

One of the things the original three guys had was a bit of that deadpan smart-*** comedy, like they were not trying to be funny, they just were funny. Clarkson's "holier than thou" attitude was funny because May and Hammond use to play that against him. And the humor enhanced whatever topic they talked about. Was some of it predictable? Sure, but who cares? It's entertainment.
I was surprised that I like LeBlanc, I didn't expect to like him at all. Evans is horrible. I like Sabine, but she's not a great 'host' and Eddie Jordan needs to stop being the buffoon. Rory is too excited as I said, and I do like Harris, but again, they're making HIM be too excited now too - I think he's much better in some of his other shows like DRIVE.
Wow...there are just way too many "hosts" on this aren't there??

I know a lot of you would probably disagree, but I'd rather see Harris start his own show with Tiff, Sabine, and maybe Leno. Tough to sell a car show for a mass audience. BBC is trying to recapture the glory days. So many starts have come and gone.

That. No Leno though.

maybe Seinfeld? He's got some car cred.

Frankly 5 episodes is not long enough to give the team time to gel. Having said the, Evans was pretty bad. The hosts just need to stop selling the show and start enjoying it and it will be fine.

Glad to hear evans is gone. Every episode was him YELLING EVERYTHING. LeBlanc to his credit did quite well.
My guess is that the show gets cancelled since the reboot didn't work and the US one no longer has a network.
Grand Tour - that i wanna see.
