Once they track down the drive he will claim he didn't know he hit you. They will issue a accident report . Contact the company on the report (it will be a numerical code on the report) make claim with them take lots of pictures and get an estimate for repair right away. This way as soon as you have the report you can e-mail your claim to there insurance company.
If its totaled you can make claim for anything built into the trailer.

Time for a new Insurance Company- My 2 race cars and my trailer are insured by Heacock- The trailer portion is peanuts...... You better have insurance on your race cars for Storage, Transport, Paddock. Theft is covered. Agreed value.

Ask ATC if they'd be willing to write up a repair estimate if you sent them detailed photos. It'll be difficult to argue with an estimate from the trailer's manufacturer.

This thread just prompted me to put a note to my agent to verify a few coverage and policy questions...

Wanna bet that he will will claim ignorance of those security cameras when he gets confronted; that the first excuse will be he didn't do it, it must have been that way.

I replayed this scenario for my insurance company. Trailer is covered. Theft damage accident etc. doesn't matter what I have on it the contents of the trailer are not insured, but the car on it is through its policy (not a race car however)
You may want to push this issue with your insurance and let them go after the other party b

Race Car
Was the trailer insured or not? if not, then I don't know why they would cover it, regardless of 'race car'. (its not covered by any policy)
if it was insured and they are choosing to exclude it due to racing, then that's a problem. (which insurance co?)
fwiw, State Farm insures my featherlight open trl for $52/yr.
btw, its very easy to steal trailers. Most states don't require a title, just a certified scale weight will allow you to register it, and get a tag...

Was it on the property and in the care of the prep shop? If so did you sign an agreement about how it was not their problem if it got mushed? Depending on the shop some do and some don't. If they don't it could be covered under their policy as well.
