It's sort of like watching sausage being made, but if you're bored it might be interesting enough for you. The conditions were pretty dicey, wet to drying on some parts. This was my first time around the track and first time driving an LMP3 car. Also had the luck of getting slow zones and a red flag in my first few laps.... lol.
Pretty much everything was new for me -- the team, the car, the track, the tires, the series, etc. I was sharing the car with Guy Cosmo and we both knew track time was at a premium -- as long as the car was drivable we would turn laps instead of wasting time trying to make changes. We were limited to two 1 hour practice sessions, equally split between the both of us. I ended up doing 10 laps total across both practice sessions and did 6 laps in the race -- where it was dry and my first time running the car on slicks.
Anyway, thought some of you might find it entertaining.

I always study wheel/console diagrams before driving a new car and try to commit them to memory. The LMP3 doesn't have many buttons/switches (unlike the RSR) so it's a lot easier!
After a lap or 2 you can see I start paging through the dash display options trying to find the lap time. It wasn't working and I thought I was on the wrong page.
Surprised I remembered where the FCY/80kph button was for the slow zones / red flag as well!

You are one of the most talented "am's" out there, and have beaten established pro's performance, on occasion.
What I like about what you do is you don't shrink away from a challenge, but instead, you EMBRACE the challenge. This newest venture is a big deal, and best of luck to you. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Wow…I have to watch that again! That loose rear camera has to mess with you, I couldn't keep my eyes from wondering over and trying to understand what the heck was going on.
+ ok now I get it -that near curb reflection is off the display screen and the actual display is what you were seeing. Never mind..
Fantastic driving and can't thank you enough for sharing.
