Well, it's more like Toyota lost it...... Unbelievable, the Toyota crapped out on the last lap. Great win for Porsche!

Porsche wins Le Mans but 9A1 has issues.
10 min left and a lap ahead and the #5 Toyota in P1 loses power. #2 Porsche catches him with three min left and passes for the lead and the win. Holy! crap!
The 91 991 has a left bank explosion. Probably bore scoring. /s
Not a good showing for our 997.2 9A1.

That Porsche caught on fire has a merzger the current 911 RSR 2016 does not use 9A1. Only the GT3 spec car does. The new 911 RSR makes debut next year just FYI. Btw that was amazing race. Fox coverage sucked but I watched th stream

Porsche wins the 24hr Hours of Le Mans
What a nail biter and a shock on how they ended up in the lead.

As I was driving off to deposit our recyclables this A.M., I had similar thought, if only it was the 23:57 hours of LeMans. I think radio guy said Toyota had finished second four times, so this is five? Can any of you race historians remember anything like this finish?

Toyota breaks down w 2 laps to go. Audi didn't have a podium finish for the first time since 99' due to turbo issues. Will a victory here for P sell more cars? Always been curious about the ROI on auto racing. .

You should probably remove the spoiler from the title for those who haven't finished watching the race
Reminds me of 2010 when Peugeot had the pace and was in the lead before suffering engine failures on 3 cars. The last one failed while leading with 1hr 13 minutes left. Hugues de Chaunac was in tears then, just as he was today in the Toyota pit box. What a heartbreak. Being dropped from the results completely for not finishing a cool down lap just adds insult to injury. Hell of an effort though. I think Toyota shocked everyone with their pace and ability to get 1 more lap out of a tank of fuel.
