Default TWS has a sinkhole problem

This weekends HPDE cancelled. Sinkhole is eating the track, reportedly.

Not good. Not good at all.

Didn't seem too bad at PDS but must have gotten worse. Outside of T6 had cones by the dirt road. Or maybe there is another problem. Shame. Hope something can be done before the Chin event.

The hole seating area is falling into a sink hole. Hopefully that is not the issue, or it would effect the main straight away.

We've been notified that the owner of the track is allocating more resources to fix the sink hole. So we will update you as it progresses. We would like you to hold off on cancelling your hotels. The DE Chairman will be notifying you before 6pm today with an update.

The Texas Trifecta dealio says you must be a current CCA member....Has this been waived/not really, just a suggestion?

There was a post on Trackjunkies stating BMWCCA membership not required. But I'm not involved in the event other than attending (I was already a member). You might try LSC.BMWCCA.Registrar@gmail.com with questions. That's the email sending out info.

Oh...the only real restriction is our convertible policy is very restrictive. So restrictive it is best to say no convertibles allowed unless they are caged log booked race cars.

Thats what I hate about BMWCCA DEs, that stoopid membership requirement included in every event fee. Love that disclaimer that they will attempt to extend your membership if you are a current (paid up) member. To me it seems like you could wind up with numerous years of membership credit in just one year. Oh, you also don't have to own a BMW.

IMHO PCA is a lot friendlier towards participation by other makes.

P.S.
I was told that BMWCCA now allows hardtop convertibles to run in their DEs but no soft top ones.

First time we have included the membership in the entry free. Used to be you had to go buy the membership before you could sign up. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?

This is highly region specific. Some PCA regions don't allow non Porsches.

All we require is a membership. What you drive is open with some restrictions...one being convertibles.
