New BBi Autosport Porsche 991 GT America Turbo Cup Project
As many Porsche enthusiasts are familiar with our previous Porsche 997 GT3 Turbo Cup - Link to Photo Album - that was successfully campaigned in the Pikes Peaks Hill Climb races, we are starting on a new Turbo Cup project using the newer 991 GT America as the base platform. This build will be exciting for many of us who have fantasized about turning the naturally aspirated GT3 into a turbocharged GT2 style monster. More importantly, this project will allow us to push the 991 chassis to the extreme limits and apply the knowledge gained to the street cars that we modify. Interesting. How much will you need to modify the motor in terms pistons, rods, cams, head, main studs, manfolds etc and what c/r is stock vs where you will finish? My guess for a Pikes Peak type car you don't want to lower c/r too much but rather keeps it reasonably high and run less boost for more linear response. Nice job on the intercoolers!
