Default PCA SP996 Spec Tire Source?

Recently acquired a very nice SP996 but cannot seem locate a set of the PCA spec BFG R1 tires for the rear. Tire Rack and several other sources say they will not have more inventory until late June or July. Looks like the R1'S' is available but I'd rather not melt a set (or two) my first weekend with the new car. Anyone know where I can find a few sets these R1s ?? 285/30x18 is the tire I need...

Check with Bob Woodman Tires or Phil's Tire Service.

Another source for BFG R1 is Jackson Motorsports https://www.jacksonmotorsportsgroup.com/tire_sales

Thanks for the suggestions. So far every dealer I have contacted (11 of them) is indicating no stock and none expected until mid-June. :-(

If worst comes to worst, you could always order the 275's (the wet tire spec). Nobody will protest you.

Are you allowed to run R888s in this class?

Edit: Disregard as I just saw that this would be a rain tire.

Just got a set of rears from Tirecrawler.com - mfg last year but better than not having them.

R888's have been replaced by Hoosier wets

As mentioned above, if you need to run a slightly different size or tire in a pinch, no one will likely care if no significant advantage (I have run Nitto NT-01 when I couldn't find the R1)
