Default No more one-handing it...HRD Carbon Fiber Shifter Box RISER

BEFORE...

AFTER...

Developed by HEINLEIN RACING DEVELOPMENT for their World Challenge spec 987 Caymans, and now available to you!!!

Raising the shifter up 4.5 to 5-inches closer to the steering wheel promotes faster shifting and greater car control. Specifically, it allows you to keep both hands on the steering wheel for longer and brings the shift **** up into your peripheral vision, so that you can stay fully focused on what's ahead - it's all about eyes up and looking forward on the track.

Superior to other shifter risers on the market, the one-piece carbon fiber monocoque construction delivers unparalleled torsional rigidity, so that every hand input is transferred to the shifter efficiently. And not to mention, it would look pretty freaking cool in your racecar...

Is this part 100% carbon fiber, or just the outer layer? Is it actually stiffer and more rigid than a similar aluminum one? The link says "one piece", but clearly two peices joined together? Undoubtedly a good looking piece none the less.
Cheers

I think what you are seeing as "two piece" is just the split line from the mold

The riser box is comprised of a double-wall of several carbon fiber sheets laid down, and may be bonded down the split line in the middle (if you look closely, you'll notice there's a break in the carbon fiber weave). But when all is completed, it's a 1-piece box that is SOLID. It arrives ready to install as a single piece.

It's stiffer than the bolted-together aluminum angle risers - if you have any experience with those, you'll know that they flex side-to-side quite a bit when you pull on the shifter.

The HRD Carbon Fiber Shifter Box is made by a high-tech carbon fiber parts manufacturer. Their facility is quite impressive...
