Maybe, maybe not.

here is the message: Learn to read, think and drive!
its funny, when i see your picture posts.. all i can think of is how perfect they are to you. no on is saying im wrong Hos....
you go ahead and continue to advise folks that lose their brakes to "ride it out" HAHAHA.. oh yeah, short shift because the higher RPM is just "noise".
oh... dont down shift, to get in the proper RPM, because you will spin and hit a wall.

oh shoot... longer than 7 words... im sure i lost you! :roflmo:
and barely in English. What does any of that have to do with "PFC 11 compound installed but sqealing badly?"?

I call BS on "Completely untrue". Perhaps a case of YMMV, but there are several reported cases of PFC pads being noisy on the street. Indeed, they are posted in this thread.

PFC 01 and 11 compounds are relatively nice to rotors. Hawk Blues, on the other hand.....

I disagreed with your first post because you told me nobody buys PFC pads because the quiet on the street. Well I did and know others who did too.

I answered completely untrue to the other post because there in fact track pads that are quiet on street. I have used them but they do not perform well in cool temperatures. So they are really not very good for the street in colder weather.

I have been racing and track driving for three decades. I have tried many different pads over that time. Blanket statements about equipment are generally problematic.

I am not sure what your issues are with my posts. Apparently in your world things are black or white. In my world everything is grey.

I guess it depends on what race ready means to you? Personaly, I want RACE, not just go fast. ... they are not pre-bedded pads, but they are more race ready than most pads.

take your chances on lap one with a new set. you wont see me doing that. Ill bed them a bit first. less than a pagid black, but still need bedding none the less.

I've never had a set of track pads that were quiet on the street. I've used Pagid's, Hawk's, CarboTech's and PFC's. All made the car sound like a garbage truck on the street.

Please show me these mythical track pads that are also quiet for street use.

I've had success with eliminating the squeal from Pagids and Cool Carbons on my street car by grinding down the leading edge of the pad slightly.

I was looking for info on whether I could/should run PFC11's on my stock(ish) 2.9 Cayman for the 435-mile drive up to Mont Tremblant from Providence RI, and I found this thread

I think I'll go ahead and put them in before the trip so I don't have to bother with it after semi-long journey... Better to have couple of beers, food, and sleep after arriving than to wrench on car
I expect some noise, but how bad is dusting with these pads? Does it permanently imbed itself or does it remain clean-off-able?
TIA!

Pretty dusty. Clean them regularly. The dust is rather corrosive.
