This issue stinks. i was finally planning a trip down to NCM this year and with the noise restrictions now in place there's no way my car will pass sound check.
Trying to figure out if it's worth the effort to change exhaust or modify mine in order to pass sound to go down there.

I was there last week teaching the novice classroom for Bluegrass BMW. Great facility, interesting track. I've been running my V8 944 at Barber for years, never once got black flagged for noise, even when 101 was the limit. On Saturday NCM got me at 102.9, just 0.1 below the limit, coming out of T3 going WOT in 3rd. Was still able to drive, just decided to ease up on the peddle a bit at that point.

Peter - did your car do OK sound wise? I may have to change my exhaust setup to be able to run down there and I'm curious if maybe I just change to the 997 setup like on your car moving forward.

Now for the track, I rate it in my Top 5 tracks I have driven. Lots of connected turns, high speed sweepers, a Blind entry Sinkhole, etc. I will be back for sure. We ran both the Grand Max Straight, no Sinkhole and esses, course Saturday and the CGTS hit 138 mph max. Sunday we ran the whole 23 turns
