Default Peltor Communicator Group Buy

From this thread https://rennlist.com/forums/racing-a...-system-2.html Der ABT has started to put together a group buy of the Peltor communicator systems shown here http://www.stableenergies.com/Peltor...L-FMT120-IMSA/

I'm in for 1 and Der ABT is in. We need 3 more folks to get the discounted price. Who else is in for one? No more Chatterbox squeeks, squelches, and general fuzz!

Has individual volume control for driver and passenger....audio out if you wanna record can hook up to a radio as well with a push to talk button optional

Runs hardwired or on 9v battery

Rally guys seem to love it

Can be used with a helmet kit that allows earbuds for really loud cars etc

Sorry if this is obvious, but what portable headset/mic is used for the student?

Will this work with the Stilo built-in audio?

I think there may be a stilo connector but not sure I'd email them

Imsa jack is the biggie for racers with radios already...just plug and play...for those without would need to buy a helmet kit as well with imsa connectors...or email stable and see what options they suggest

I believe it is 10% which ends up being $30.50.

I think we have 4 now so just need 1 more

Connectors are imsa.....so to plug a chatterbox in you would need an adapter

I currently have a chatterbox set up, and its sucks. Stable wired it into my helmet for me, when I got the new helmet. I would be interested in the Peltor, just not sure what adapter, etc., I would need to make this whole thing work? So, I have got one foot in? What do you use to communicate with our student? I went to the Stable website, still no sure......I guess I could always make a trip down there, once the group buy is completed? Sorry to be so dense, but if you can clue me in, on this then I can get the second foot in............

No worries.
So the peltor has 2 imsa plugs.
You will need a helmet kit with an imsa plug into the peltor (they have permanent install and ones that are close to a chatterbox type....if you car is loud I suggest earbuds)
Then you will either need to have one for you coach/instructor .....if they already have a wired helmet they just plug in

Then it is open communications much like a chatterbox cept better quality with individual volume control etc.

Hope this helps
