I emailed a few questions the other day and have not had a response.

I was not interested in buying a car but may rent one for a race or two. If they are not interested in renting them then I wouldn't have an interest.

Perfect rental cars with no over rev opportunities.

PCA trophy east require 2 year commitment with first year entry paid in full. (PCA collects the entry fees directly)
PCA will not allow car to be rented or shared.
They also hold first right of refusal on the car.
Car has no A/C and no windows.

Trophy West cars have less requirements and can be rented or shared from what i have gathered.
The also come with windows and A/C.

Hmmm. The cars present at Sebring had windows and A/C.

IF they are to be raced AS DELIVERED, they should be the same.

Of course, PCA has already changed the tire spec from what the car was designed for, which will require some significant adaptation...

A bit frustrating the way this program turned out. I know of at least half a dozen guys that we're prepared to buy one of these until the series restrictions were announced.

I think this car would be much more successful if PCA/PMNA allowed owners to run the car where and when they want to instead of forcing them to commit to an expensive series. The 6-race Trophy Easy Series involves over 9,600 miles of haulage alone for a mid-lantic based shop.

At the end of the day most club racing is regional. Set up 4-5 regional series and pick 8-10 races across the regional series with one throw-out for those that care about a national title. I'm confident participation and overall demand for the car would double to triple.

At the end of the day there are plenty of national pro/pro-am feeder series including Porsche's own 991 Cup series for guys trying to climb that ladder.

I am coaching at COTA tomorrow and there are 5 signed up, all from California.

And Peter is correct regarding changing from Michelin to Pirelli...

I hope it's successful. Looks like a great car. No reason why we shouldn't see +30-car grids extrapolating IMSA GT3 Challenge grid numbers and taking into account the lower costs.

I still think offering some type of regional program to compliment/supplement the current east/west series would be a win/win for all involved.

Those cars at Sebring were the West coast series spec cars. (If they had Windows and A/C.)

That would make sense since I believe they were TRG cars.

Muehlner had car(s) there, too. I think Mark is running East Coast?
