Roux fits my head better than any helmet I’ve had, so I’m a big fan and why we carry them. I like the built in radio system, works well for us in our loud car and I like not having a separate cable or connection line on the helmet to fight with (I ripped out 2 in my old helme)t..never thought I’d need the water until a long hot AER Race with a ver long yellow session, (though my over exuberant team mate broke the fitting when he disconnected the hose from the helmet). Never noticed weight... neither has Nadine.
Be sure when you compare weights you compare apples to apples: helmet, intercom, Hans anchors, etc. “Listed” weights don’t always use fully loaded helmets to make it look lighter...

I love my roux but i dont like the head cooling
Its not effective at all. Its hooked to the cool shirt box
Drink and ear sound is good.
The helmet is fragile for the external parts. Already replaced the water and cooling external parts.
I hope we could have an update on better head cooling from roux....

The Roux cooling offers about 20 degrees cooler compared to not using the cooling system. The Cool Shirt Cool-a-Clava is much colder but the bald guys say it's too cool and hurts their head since they don't have hair. And the Cool-a-Clava moves around - we recommend using 2-sided tape or velcro to position it inside the helmet. The Roux cooling has a series of small tubing manufactured into the helmet. The Cool-a-Clava is a thin, wafer like pad that goes right on top of the head and works with any helmet. It doesn't sit up under the liner like the Roux.
