Default You know Patrick

You know Patrick, these cars the throttle are just made of zero and full. To hold it in half it is not really made for this

some real rubber on those rear wheels....

+1 This… Would have loved to see the look on Long's face as he contemplated a gazillion hp and a binary throttle by which to apply it through those old Avons.

Thanks for posting. Like many of us, I think the 917 is the ultimate race car, and by far my favorite Porsche of all time. Fantastic!

Just wish/hope that for all the cameras and time they put into that short vid that there is more of it! Would love to hear Pat's assessment and impressions of driving it but I'm sure there will be more from the Main Event. Can't wait. :-)

+1

I may have sat in that very car when the 917's came to the LA Auto Show back in the 70's.

There were 2 or 3 of them behind the velvet ropes (of course), and my father talked (in German, his native language) to one or more of the representatives from Porsche to see if I can sit in one.

I guess that is where is it started.
