sure, whoever. open track days are way better than a few limited run groups in a PCA DE that always have drivers that have no business being in advanced groups.

Yes there is a DE before the event and just like last year the host region is getting very nervous about the small number of people registered thus far. Small region ( jersey shore? Can't remember) that can't afford to take a loss.
Last year they canceled because not enough people signed up at the critical point (when they could still cancel). Dave Murray took the time slot over so people were able to get some time in. Costs the drivers a LOT more.
So if you want that DE sign up for it ASAP or there might not be one.
