Default Piloti is Back

After a 4 year absence Piloti is back. I had always liked the design of the shoes
it was just their business practices I took exception to. Piloti is now owned by Canadian Tire. . Well we picked them up again and have them in stock.

I have a pair of the new ones - not quite as good as the old but still good. Tough to find good driving shoes that look decent when you wear them casually. These fit the bill...

Would love to buy but Piloti is proud of how narrow their shoes are. I need 14 EEE!

I picked up three pair of new old stock for my wife. Men's size 5 or 5.5 for $85 and she has her track shoes and wears the things to work as well. Now for $150, that is harder to swallow.

Some of the older styles are still available new, on Ebay. Unfortunately, most are odd sizes either very large, or very small.

Back in the day I bought 7 or 8 pair at some discount clothing retailer like Ross or Marshalls for $20 a pair. Prototipos of various sizes and colors.

I picked up about 6 pairs in size 12 in all different colors around 2006 or so via the same method.

Thank god I am not the only one... I can't even get my feet into a Piloti to tie it up. Size 12 EEEEE (5E)... Perhaps they just don't make driving shoes for Gorillas...

Sparco rally shoes fit well... I have 2 pair as a result.

I had been searching for some discontinued models on eBay but could not find any my size, when I got a catalog in the mail (Herrington?) and saw them, got a pair and they are decent and look great. The laces were too long so I cut them back and made new ends with heat shrink tube.
