Default revitalizing faded paint on enclosed trailer

Bought a 24 ft enclosed trailer- outer skin is the screwless bonded aluminum sheets-it's black but heavily oxidized and faded. Have done a lot of searching here and with google- can't come up with a good solution for removing oxidation effectively and efficiently without running risk of buffing the paint right off.

Not all trailers are white!

Tried Meguiars cleaner wax- went over part of the trailer 3 time- looks a lot better- but still like crap. And that was with the Griots DA polisher. Found a detailers forum where a Meguiars guy recommended their "Ultimate" compound- didn't work much better- even after going over an area three times.

Tried "NuFinish" on the generator cover door- that worked the best- but when tried on the larger sections- it came up short too. Not looking to turn this into a 100 hour project. Was hoping for a quick buff and some sort of rejunvenating sealant to make it look decent and protect it for at least 6-8 months.

Anyone have any similar experience and recommendations?

thanks

IF there is paint under there ditch the orbital
Get an an angle grinder with a wool pad
Use the commercial meguiars cutting compound.
Work very fast and be careful.
Follow with ultimate compound on the da and a wax.

+1. And use Meguiar's M105 compound, working in small sections at a time. It's going to take a whole weekend, though. You could also consider having a marine paint shop repaint it, though those guys know what their work is worth.

In deference to the trailer security thread, perhaps just leave it as is.

On white, wash it with some white wall cleaner in the soap and it will remove the oxidation and make the trailer look 1000x better.

This was my first thought. Then you could switch to a different color or pattern if you want. Personally I don't like black trailers because they soak up the sun.
