Also, perhaps the faultless Alonso made a mistake and he is in the hospital because Ron doesn't understand how that can happen.
It's a shame that they can't be upfront about what happened. How many times has a drover crashed a car in practice without injury, and still droves the same or next day? Many, many times... So somehow when Alonso crashes, and no injury occurs, he gets admitted to hospital and can't drive for over a week? Total BS. I am really losing respect for the McLaren brand over this incident. (I know... took me long enough!)

This whole thing stinks of cover up.
I'm shocked, just shocked. Perhaps the same way Alonso was.

Now we learn he is out for Australia??? Seems beyond a concussion to me. McLaren is hiding something more serious.

Working around Brain Sciences for the last couple of years (I am not a neurologist), I would not be surprised if it was just a concussion. It seems logical given the crash. It is a broad term, but basically, he has a brain injury and if he has another crash it could be a problem, even death. No real signs of trouble are apparent when this happens. I just wish they would simply say it.

Fabrizio Barbazza ex F1 driver (1991-1993) said that he has accurate information that Alonso got a 600W shock that gave him a temporarly blindness and vein obstraction. F1 and McLaren don't want to release this information. It is not normal to sit out the rest of the test and the first race for an 90mph accident. McLaren is now running with their own MGU unit and not the Honda unit.

If it was an electrical shock, I would be saying, "I'm not getting in that damn thing until you can guaranteed it won't happen again!" I remember telling someone, that the FIA won't drop this hybrid nonsense until someone get electrocuted by it.

Ron Dennis is a quack, or doesn't give a poop what other people think... this statement is awesome:
“It was not the best performance by me. I understand why the press beat me up for being inaccurate. I wanted to be open honest. I failed. But it is my objective to try to be as honest as possible in future," Dennis said at an event in Melbourne
How does one FAIL at being open and honest? They lie!! Unbelievable...
