I think the guy in the blue car needed to stir his. I heard some talk of prescribing Valium to for all the cup car drivers this year. I guess they did.

I see virtually nobody (in the video above) spending any effort at all at properly warming tires, and then barging forward to T1 with the very same outcome as usual.
"Gee, no grip!!! I wonder why not"
and, "why not let the car roll around in the middle of this nice crowd so NOBODY has a clue which direction to go"

Nah Glen.
Why on earth would you not spend 100% of your available time on the out lap warming your tires?
Spend a fortune on a car, hope to learn to drive it, pay for transportation and entry to Sebring (and probably two sets of slicks), and then fart around and wonder why the car spun.
Yes I'm sorry it happened, but also believe there is no excuse for it.

I was taught that scrubbing the tires side to side does little to heat up the tires and only risks bashing into the person next to you. It is really heavy braking that heats up the tires from the inside and that you should try building heat by braking in the fashion.
On the outlap of each race I tried to get heat into my brakes as much as possible by applying them a little early and by racing ahead and then braking a little. In doing so I had to be cognizant not to lose the pack and also not to make the guy in back of me kiss my bumper.
With four hours between the enduro practice and the actual enduro there wasn't any residual heat left in anything.
What is the preferred way of heating tires on an out lap?

Just the way you describe it. Just be careful to stagger the line up as not to brake check the guy behind you and don't start until you have exited the pits.

Not that he needs my help but in defense of "the guy in the blue car" he was reacting to a car moving over on him from his right which I am sure contributed to this situation.
