Default Sponsorship for DE?

Has any of you guys/gals been successful at getting someone (other than your own business) to sponsor your DE activities?
Or, what are some good ideas for how to do this?

Unless you've earned your DE super license, I've heard that it's hard to get sponsor's attention, but I think another Rennlist user had some success. PM GhettoRacer.

You have to be a proven winner at your DE's. One kick *** season won't do it. Years of top level DE performance is what it takes and knowing the right people. Ask me how I know.

You may get in touch with good hands as the poster above suggested. I think he's been sponsored a few years now.

Subscribing to this. If anyone has any good ideas.

My friend Carl got sponsored for DE. He drives a red M3. The sponsor asked him to put their logo on his car and tie a 3 ft long white cotton string to his rear bumper. The sponsor was Tampax.

Contact them. They need more DE drivers like you.

Selling yourself is hard. Good for him.

Roundel don't be a hater just because good hands has cleaned your clock at every regional DE championship since 2008.

Side note, I have a signed pagid box by Good Hands that has been authenticated I might be willing to sell for the right price.

Back in the day we had a shop sponsor us for Auto-X! Parts at cost mechanic rate for labor (no shop overhead). Sweet deal for a couple of years. BTW he approached us.

Cold Hands has a good deal too, though his better half always questions his "measurements."

Relatedly, our local DE group is sponsored by Michelin, so anyone on Michelin tires drives for free. You don't even need to win, though they provide a full DE season of tires for the winners in each class. Weirdly, everyone still drives Hoosiers.

If your region gave out trophies for winning the DE you might get a sponsor to pay for them

Thanks all. I might try my local shop or a shop near my home track in VA.

The Michelin idea is a good one...I'd love to get free tires.

Thanks forklift and others for the leads, I'll pm Good Hands.

You should try that kickstarter thing. I've heard people with good ideas have done well with it.
