Anyone driving Summit Point events should keep in mind there have been three recent sniper incidents. Avoid gas/convenience stores in the Charles Town W.V. area.

Are those gas station/convenience stores right before the single lane road to Summit, in Charles Town? i.e. Sheetz, etc.

I usually fill up there too, since they are the closest pumps to the track.

Don't know the specifics Sam. Reports are that all 3 victims were shot at fuel/convenience stores in the Charles Town area.

You can load anything you need transported in my trailer if that helps. Plenty of room.

Just over on the Charles Town side of the track? I usually come in from Winchester. I'm surprised this didn't make the national news after the last lunatic.

I have just been advised that the shootings were in Charleston not Charles Town W.V.. Not sure where Charleston is but it is not close to Summit Point.

Thanks for the update(s). I knew there was another town in WV that sounded the same. A few weeks ago I was searching for the number for the Shoney's near the track to reserve a room and the operator kept giving me the area code and number for the Charleston, WV hotel and not the one in Winchester.
