Why not Nelson? You're carrying a lot more speed out of the carousel there than you do out of the last corner at CMP, right? I guess I also get more worried about an off at Nelson; lots of people have paid a hefty price due to the state of that "runoff area". The worst I ever saw was an Atlantic that went off driver's right and launched; he was a missile, landed at the outside of the left at the end of the back straight, then bounced across the front straight! Thankfully he walked away.

I certainly didn't mean to imply that the Kink at CMP is more wild and difficult than THE Kink at Road America. Because IMO nothing is...
No argument - THAT is a confidence-check corner. That wall on driver's left seems closer every time I drive that track. I have data traces of laps where I'm dead flat from exit of 8 all the way to Canada....but I never seem to be able to do it in the first session of a weekend, no matter how much time I've spent there.
