Default Bubble Bummer

Just put new larger numbers on my Trackmeister to meet Road America's size rules, and went back to check 'em out a couple hours later only to find a bunch of bubbles in the numbers. Seemed like a decent job when i did it??
Any tricks for vinyl numbers for next time?
The car was in the shade of the garage, but I did put another coat of wax where the numbers were going.

I have always found that, irrational as it may sound, covering the area where the vinyl stickers are to be pasted with water that contains some soapy dishwashing liquid. The numbers can be accurately positioned and moved around to the exact position required. With a dry cloth add pressure on the sticker to squeeze the water out from under the sticker. Leave it to dry and for the label adhesion to bite for about 24 hours. You will then have perfectly positioned stickers with no bubles.

You want to remove the wax first, with some alcohol or such, then use the water/soap solution to position and finally use a squeegy (sp?) to smooth then out and remove water.
