Have been using Adobe Premier Elements, but am frustrated with the sound (the sound often comes across as a heavy electronic 'beat'; original Smarty file sounds fine). What editor do you use and are you satisfied with it? Thanks
For the PC; I should have specified (apparently I am way too relaxed here on vacation).

I use SM2 to edit individual laps.

I just use Quicktime to edit out segments. Very simple and it preserves the original format nicely. I was unable to do this with my old 'regular' SC but the files from my SCGP work just fine in Quicktime. I'm guessing they finally changed the codec to a more Quicktime friendly format.

Open SM2, Select the Edit Tool, Select the Movie, Select the Lap and just to the right of the lap time are scissors. The movie will be created with the lap number and nested in the originating folder.

Screen shots are reversed. First on the bottom, second middle and final selection screen on top.

Rick,
I was using AVS Video Editor (PC) for my old SC files and it worked fine. It was relatively cheap IIRC and I got some related products with it to swap file formats and stuff.

Thank you, Dave - I have used AVS in the past and maybe should go back to it.
I changed to Adobe Premier Elements and often the audio is corrupted; all I hear for audio is this chuffing sound. But I don't hear it in the native (?) format right from Smarty.

For quick editing on a PC, I've found Race Render very easy to use and it processes the end file very fast compared to the other programs. When I used the Windows Movie Maker on XP, it was terribly slow at processing the final file.

Race Render is very good, too. Although I mostly use that to write data on top of GoPro video...

That is why I started with it as well. Then I found that trimming videos is so easy in it that I started doing that with it as well. The new lap export in SM2 is pretty awesome though.

I use the lap export from SM2 then stitch together the smaller movies with Movie Maker. Saves time and CPU cycles!

Smarty Manager 2 (SM2) should be included, but is always available at http://www.aim-sportline.com/eng/download/software.htm
