Well, FWIW, my trip (delayed by the blackout) , to a PCA DE @ W/G was very productive & restored my confidence in myself & the car - I have to thank my instructor , who was perfect for this task, even tho he had the unlikely 1st intial/last name combination of A. Spinner!
Also, in reviewing my description of the accident, I had noted that it was "two narrow lanes bordered by concrete" walls - just for clarity, of course they are going in the same direction - and because they start from an industrial section of town, they are always pretty empty at that time of day. (This is not to say I didn't ef-up, jus that there was some method to my recklessness)
thanks again for the resposes

Jaws, I think we all have our "favorite" turns in town...I work at night and my job requires that I often run between the several telephone central offices that we have in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area...believe me...I have my favorite on/off ramps, and whatnot.
From time to time I take a look around to see what I would hit if I screwed up and it aint pretty!
That usually makes me take it down a notch for awhile...every now and then you gotta audit yourself.
Funny on the A. Spinner story! Glad to hear you had a blast at the Glen, it's been a few years since I've pillaged it myself.
Welcome back to the "fray", keep the shiney side up and the rubber side down.

Jaws911,
Sorry I didn't see you. I was the guy collecting waiver signatures at 6AM... Unfortunately, I was sans car because it was in the body shop from my last visit to the glen.
