Default Enclosed Trailex Interior Mods

Picked up my enclosed Trailex about a month ago. Just couldn't find a reasonably priced used one in my area. Love the trailer! Fit and finish is incredible. I've searched for interior set-ups and couldn't find much so I thought that I'd post mine:

- Fire Extinguisher Mount next to front right door (I remove the fire extinguisher for weight reasons from the car for Club Racing as I have a fire extinguisher system installed in the car)
- Fuel jug holders located by the front doors. They are rail mounted and can be moved if required.
- Air canister strapped next to the winch
- Jack pocket storage under the tire rack
- Jack stand storage mounted to tire rack
- Tie down strap storage on the right rear
- Pocket for folding chairs on right rear
- Table and chair storage on left rear

Frank, Can you still use the center section of the tire rack for tires with the jack stand mount there? How did you mount the fuel holders to the rails? I just have mine up horizontally at the very front, unmounted and they've never moved around. Looks great! I may steal some of you ideas.

Nice job. Really helpful photos. Did you consider installing an air compressor?

As nice as your car, Frank - well done.
Are you racing at Mosport club race next week?

Did the spare carrier come with the trailer? If not, where did you source it?

Scott, I ordered the T-Bolts from Trailex (pic below) and mounted the fuel holders to the rails on the front on the floor. I can still load the tires on the rack from the front as I have the large front doors and the additional 6" in ceiling height (should have gone for 12"). I am considering relocating the jack stand mount to the front but the cabinet doors won't open all the way then.

No - need to keep the weight down and the air canister usually does the trick for me.

August 21 - 24! Looking forward to it. I have now finally upgraded the suspension plus shock pods. Rob S will be working with me to set up the car prior to the race. Should be fun.

Rick - car is currently in for a "refresher", some weight removal, new splitter (same as yours) and upgrade to military grade coms equipment. Won't be ready until the NJMP race in last August.

Sean, that was part of my original spec when I ordered the trailer. You can buy it separately from Trailex.

Frank, Looks really nice and organized. The one thing I keep using that I find real handy is a winch.

Bob, got the electric winch but it has a relatively short cable. How was Endurance Racing?

I have an electric scooter that I can carry in the trunk of my car. I was thinking of a hanging bike rack in front of the tire rack. CT70 - love 'em. Need to think about that. I'm sure my kids would love the idea.

I drain gas and lay in back of expedition but am thinking about a light enclosed trailer, but space for the CT is required along with the 968. Think it will fit?

It probably will fit on the floor in front of the tire rack, however that's where the D rings are for the front straps.

Nice setup and nice trailer. I really like mine. I try to keep the front doors unobstructed. This helps when strapping down the front of the car. I also moved the tire rack as far back as possible. This gives me more room to be able to get to the nose cabinet. I ended up putting the gas holders (can hold three bottles) at the back right side. Have fun!
