Got a quick tour of the new pavement at Club Motorsport facility in Tamworth, NH over the weekend. Nothing fast because there's still no curbing or safety systems in place but the low-speed lead/follow video below provides a good sense of what to expect.

Very impressive track. T8 is going to be the make or break turn because it sets up the uphill run through T9A, T9B, and T10. T14 and T1 will be the other two critical turns to a good lap.

Nice layout. Great scenery. Any details on what they're planning for curbing and safety walls? Still looking at 10/1 for an opening?

Be careful what you wish for guys. Although more regional tracks can be nice, it pretty much guarantees
the existing tracks will be put in dire straights financially. Just my 2 cents.

A few things....

1) They are going to have to spend a fortune on safety features given the sharp elevation off track and rock walls.

2) Looks like they will get finished just in time for winter 6 months break.

3) Track looks glorious, flows like mad. High DF highly rewarded.

4) Paced laps were about 2:05-2:10. So I'm thinking at speeds similar to Road Atlanta with 1:30's averaging about 100 mph for fast GT cars on sticky tires going all out.

5) Count me in!!!!!

Armco, catch fencing, and tire barriers. They have 40k tires incoming. There are also some pretty generous paved run-offs in a number of turns. The original Alan Wilson design has been reworked a number of times to improve safety among other aspects. That said, T8 track-out feels like it pinches down pretty aggressively and I suspect will be a hot spot.

Still 10/1 target for full opening.

No question competition will increase from a pure numbers standpoint. Hopefully that means everyone ups their game and we all benefit.

How is the membership part working out? I know a number of people who bought in back in the early 2000s and are not even into cars anymore? The place looks great and all reports are coming back terrific!

Sorry Matt, no insight on that front. Good news though is that unlike some other private facilities, they're allocating a good chunk of time for non-membership events.

Damn that GT3 RS sounds good going around the track. Love the exhaust note and the blip on the downshifts. Sublime.

I just heard from someone working for Club Motorsports that they still need to complete the installation of all the safety equipment (armco, curbing, striping, etc.) and they are expecting to have that complete and be ready to open at the beginning of summer. I suppose that schedule will depend on the severity of the winter up there and how much snow they'll be dealing with in the spring.
