Six Hours of the Glen
GTD Porsches getting a break:
"IMSA has handed out Balance of Performance adjustments to cars in the GT Le Mans and GT Daytona categories ahead of next weekend’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen.
In GTLM, the newly re-badged Dodge Viper GTS-R has received a 15 kg weight break and 0.3 mm larger air restrictor for the third round of the Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup.
No other changes have been made to the class.
GTD, however, sees a number of adjustments, mainly with weight and fuel capacity changes.
The Porsche 911 GT America receives a 15 kg weight break and 3 liter increase in fuel capacity, while both the Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 and Dodge Viper GT3-R each gain 10 kgs of weight, with the Viper now also running a 6500 rpm limiter.
The Audi R8 LMS gains 20 kg, while losing 2 liters of fuel capacity and the BMW Z4 GT3 gains 25 kg but is given 3 additional liters of fuel.
The only GTD car unchanged is the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, which received adjustments prior to the most recent round in Detroit.
No adjustments, meanwhile, have been published for the Prototype category. Any potential changes, per the IMSA rulebook, must be finalized by Friday night, in order for it to take effect for the upcoming Watkins Glen round."

Broadcast schedule: FoxSports1 11:00am 29th. Wish they would broadcast the GT3 Cup races.

I'm surprised he was only going 155ish at the end of the back straight. He was having trouble after the bus stop too. He predictive was usually around 1:39 (Wow!!!) and then would end up around a 1:42.

I'll be there! I'm leaving tomorrow morning, expect to arrive in time for lunch. I'll be alone so I splurged for a Glen Club Ticket. Don't have to worry about food or bevs, and I'll have a cool retreat to go back to if I start to overheat. Where are some good panning photo locations?

Awesome! It looks like they're building up some good speed through the esses, a little more challenging to get a good shot compared to big bend at Limerock.

Interesting race. BOP still a work in progress. Lots of sketchy pass attempts and unnecessary punting.
Too bad they don't broadcast the Porsche GT3 Cup races because Colin Thompson pulled off two very impressive wins: http://www.imsa.com/articles/thompso...lap-glen-sweep
For anybody on Facebook he posted a video of the Race 1 last lap pass. Very cool: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...type=2&theater
Some soundbites from the main event: http://sportscar365.com/imsa/tusc/au...ce-soundbites/
